Sahara Reporters tweeted a picture of the protesters which it claimed were allegedly rented by the Nigerian government.

Today’s protest appears to be a continuation of Monday, March 20 action when thousands of protesters under the banner of Global Peace and Rescue Initiative (GOPRI) barricaded the Abuja office of the Amnesty International (AI) demanding the international organization to vacate the country within the next 24 hours.

This is just as another group, under the aegis of the Save Humanity Advocacy Center, issued Amnesty International a seven-day ultimatum to vacate the country.

It claimed that Nigerians have had enough of the organisation’s “absurdity and evil machinations.”

Comrade Ibrahim Abubakar, the group’s executive secretary, while addressing a press conference in Abuja yesterday said failure to quit the country at the expiration of the ultimatum will result to street protest.
