As part of measures to boost the study of science and technology, he said the Ministry would soon embark on the distribution of science equipment to selected schools in the six geo-political zones of the country.

Also speaking, the former Minister of Information, Dasuki Nakande, urged the information managers of the government to step up their activities, adding that there was the need for them to bridge the “information gap” between the government and the citizens.

Nakande, who is a member of the group, pointed out that during 2015 electioneering campaigns of All Progressives Congress (APC), that various platforms were deployed to create awareness, regretting such platforms including the social media have been abandoned by those saddled with the responsibility of managing information for the present administration, which has resulted in information gap.
