Africa’s number one business magazine, Forbes Africa has feature Nigerian oil tycoon, Mr Tonye Cole, Co- founder and Group Executive Director of indigenous oil conglomerate, Sahara Group on it’s April edition.

In the exclusive interview with the Forbes Africa correspondent, Peace Hyde,  Mr Cole reveals his amazing story on how he overcome bankruptcy as a young entrepreneur  to establishing the leading indigenous oil conglomerate Sahara Group,

Sahara Group  which is one of privately owned diversified oil companies Africa with large interest in utilities, real estate, farming and infrastructure was established in 1996 to actively service the downstream, midstream, upstream, infrastructure and power sectors.

According to Cole , “Failure teaches you a lot. If you are an entrepreneur, you are going to have bad days and if you are a successful entrepreneur, you are going to have even more bad days. It is important to remember the value of relationships and never give up.”

The Group’s plan is to replicate its successes in Oil and Gas sector in the Energy & Infrastructure sector. To attain this, Sahara has set out a roadmap for investing in people, processes, strategic acquisitions, principal investments and continuous expansion within, initially, the West African energy & infrastructure space, and then globally.
